First meeting of 2026
10:00am General Business Meeting
11:00am Speaker Dolly Foster | Lake County Master Gardener Program
St. Barnabas in the Dunes Church at 601 Pottowatomie Trail
Looking forward to our first meeting of the year 2026: Saturday, March 21, the1st day of Spring and a great time to gather and learn about all things green and growing. One of our favorite people — Dolly Foster — will be informing us about the Lake County Master Gardener Program.
Briefly: The Master Gardener program offers far more than horticultural training. It opens the door to a lifelong journey of learning, service, and connection. Through the basic training course, students gain a strong foundation in plant science, soil health, pest management, native species, and sustainable gardening practices. Master Gardeners make a visible difference in the places they call home. For anyone who loves plants, enjoys learning, and wants to give back, becoming a Master Gardener is a deeply rewarding path that enriches both the gardener and the community they serve.
Meet at St. Barnabas in the Dunes Church, 601 Pottowatomie Trail, west off County Line Rd. Follow signs on Juniper, left at the T, church is 50 yards ahead to the left. Parking is available in front of the building and across the street. Business meeting at 10:00 am, speaker at 11:00 am, refreshments served. Convivial companions guaranteed!
